Ellmauer Tor at the Wilder Kaiser

From the Ellmau parking lot at the Wochenbrunneralm (1,085 m) on a wide gravel path slightly uphill, first through a small forest, then over alpine meadows in half an hour to the Gaudeamushütte (1,263 m). Continue through bushes and mountain pines into the Kübelkar, then uphill through another mountain pine field to the Wilden-Kaiser-Steig (comes from the Baumgartenköpfl (1,572 m). Then continue left to the Jubiläumssteig trail which leads to the foot of the Karlsspitze and finally over a step secured by a wire rope to the imposing Ellmauer Tor (1,977 m).
